Cracking into Creative

Cracking into Creative

By junior creative Alessia Castiglione

At 26: my first real shot
“Know anything about TV?”
Not one jot.
“You’ll learn…”

At 27: I’m out on my feet
What the fuck...
Redundancies suck.

Putting myself out there
More out there
More
God this is hard for a shy ambivert

Load a CD and press play
The song is different yet
They all sound the same
Friend gets a job.
Friend gets a job.
Friend gets a job.
Tension intensifies, bank balance drains.

Do I really have what it takes?
Should I just stay home,
eat my own weight in cake?

Look at the guys
Who have no problem talking themselves
up to CDs
Why can’t I do this?
How hard can it be?

Deep breath...
“Rebel” mentee, asks a lot of questions.
Needs inspiration, aspiration
And someone to thank at Cannes with appreciation.
Youngish creative in this changing age of advertising.
Enquire within.
